Curtain Call-Chapter 4~Rachel~
Ever since Mr. Schuester had given Rachel the permission to take over Glee in his absence, she'd felt more power and authority than she ever had. Actually, she felt honored that he would choose her over the rest, but she knew he would. She's the most focused and talented out of the whole Glee club. No one could ever match her skills.
Smiling to herself, Rachel fingered her headband as she leaned against the piano in the choir room. She was ready for today and what it hopefully held. Her fellow classmates hadn't been very responsive since she'd been in charge, but she was almost sure that they would be today.
The bell rang just on time, pulling her out of her thoughts.
"Okay, who wants to go first?" she asked after everyone had took a seat.
Silence. She felt her heart drop. How could they not be excited about coming up with an anthem to sing for regionals? She looked around at all of them. They weren't even paying attention. Mercedes, Santana, Brittany, Quinn, and Tina a
Sincerely Yours - Letter One January 11th, 2011Tuesday
There are tearstains all over this and I don't really know what to do with myself. It's been a whole week and I don't know how to handle this. My heart is too constricted to feel anything, but yet I still cry. I thought you were supposed to feel something when you cried
The whole point of this letter was to tell you something, but I don't think I can. Not right now. There is an endless pile of crumpled pieces of paper on my floor because I'm not quite sure what I want to say to you. I'll tell you in time, I suppose. It just depends if I'm strong enough to write to you or not.
And if I continue writing, I promise these letters will get easier to understand.
Sincerely Yours- ProloguePrologue
He sat there, head in his hands, tears in his eyes. The railroad tracks underneath him were hard and cold, seeping through his clothes. He remembered laughter and loud music. Why hadn't he turned the music down? He remembered looking at her, wishing he could reach over and take hold of her, kiss her. Why wasn't he paying attention to the road? Then he remembered the feel of bumpy railroad underneath them. She screamed and then she was silent.
His fingers trailed over the tracks, coming across something sharp. A piece of glass. It was thick, and no doubt left there from seven months and four days ago. The boy threw it to the side and stretched out across the railway. His tears came faster, but he wouldn't stop them.
It wasn't supposed to happen like this, he kept repeating to himself. It just wasn't.
HellHe was falling, dropping quickly into a deep unknown. Heat pressed against him, burning his body. He was scared and screaming. Screaming for the pain to stop, but it never did. His heart beat rapidly and he tried to reach out in every direction. He wanted to climb out of this fiery pit he'd stumbled into.
A mysterious, cunning voice crept into his thoughts. Cackling, it whispered against his ear, "You deserve this, Sam. All the things you've done in life."
"Where am I?" he screamed into the darkness. He blinked, trying to see something. Anything.
"This place is called envy, revenge, lust sin. This is hell." The cackling grew smaller and smaller in the back of his mind.
As the fire and darkness swallowed him, he couldn't help but think, why didn't anyone ever warn me?
Hearts break So Do BonesCinders and ashes fell from the sky from all of the fighting. Bliss took a long, shaky breath. It was over. She looked down at the ground and she could see the thin cracks in the earth from her previous earthquake. She tried to look around, but the air was too contaminated by the ashes and smoke. She couldn't even see her hand in front of her face.
Unexpectedly, a smile drew across her face and she sighed. "It's over," she repeated out loud.
Is it? Is it really just that simple?
She spun around at the familiar voice, but no one was there. "Hello?" she called out into the dust. She blinked, trying to see through the fog.
No, it isn't it replied, answering its own question. It sounded so close, but even after she turned in a complete circle, there was still no one. You won't find me that easily, Bliss. Just like you couldn't kill me that easily.
"No " she whispered, realizing why the voice sounded so familiar. "It can't be
